Quamby golf course is a rare gem on the Tasmanian golf circuit. Constructed in the early 1990’s, Quamby’s beautiful 9-hole golf course is positioned on a high elevation with magnificent views to Ben Lomond in the East and the Great Western Tiers to the South. The fairways are lined by large mature trees planted in rows with garden avenues, hedgerows, watercourses, lakes and ponds. This picture-book landscape offers a challenging and entertaining experience for golfers of varied ability and experience.
Twice round, this 9-hole 6,847 metre course commands a par 76. At 576 metres, the 8th hole is the longest par 5 in Tasmania. There are 9 lakes, cascades, creeks and 3 challenging ‘Scottish’ bunkers. A major feature of the course, the beautifully groomed bunkers are from specially refined Scottsdale sands.
Clubs are available for hire and caddies available on request.

Quamby Estate is located 20 minutes drive from Launceston. Situated near the historic township of Hagley, Quamby can be reached either via the Bass Highway or Meander Valley Highway between Launceston and Deloraine.
Built in the 1850’s, the original Estate Manager’s office and home is now the golf clubhouse. This Georgian-style building is complemented by an adjoining bar and restaurant offering a perfect venue to enjoy a refreshment after a round of golf.
Together, the clubhouse and Quamby Homestead both offer a superb venue for a corporate function, special event or celebration. Dependent on availability, we can offer you complete run-of-course and exclusive use of facilities.
