Gourmet Touring

Within a short driving distance from Quamby Estate you will uncover some of the best food and wine producers in Australia. Spend a day exploring the Tamar Valley vineyards, renowned for their cool climate wines.

Seek out some of the unique produce suppliers such as 41 South salmon farm, Christmas Hills raspberry farm, Truffles Australis and the Tasmanian Honey Company.

Fly Fishing

Whilst staying at Quamby Estate, in the heart of Tasmania’s famous wild trout fishery, spend one, two, or three days with well-known guide Daniel Hackett and his team at RiverFly Tasmania. Daniel and his team will be your guides as you stalk brown and rainbow trout among the famous Tasmanian midland streams, or along more remote rivers and tarns of Tasmania’s wilderness and World Heritage Areas. Bush Walking

There are many options for spectacular day walks from Quamby Estate, including nearby Liffey Falls State Reserve and Cataract Gorge in Launceston

Marakoopa caves are also a fascinating option featuring disappearing creeks, amphitheatres of stalactite formations, and gardens of growing stalagmites. The Marakoopa cave tour is also home to the largest display of glow worms in Australia.

Out and About

A great way to spend a day from Quamby is to explore the local towns and villages where antique stores and weekend markets abound. Uncover treasures in the art & crafts and antique shops of Deloraine and Westbury. Or sample some authentic Tasmanian heritage at the National Rose Garden at Woolmers Estate in Longford.
